MIDORI, the sequel to the acclaimed puzzle game SHI•RO, immerses players in the enchanting narrative of priest Yoshida. This journey begins as Yoshida departs from home to restore hope to the people of Kyoto.

Players traverse dark, mysterious forests to summon the ancient gods, known as Kami-sama, to Yoshida’s shrine. Engaging with thoughtfully crafted puzzles, one must create spaces among maple trees that invite the gods' presence.

Throughout this journey, players encounter animal messengers of the gods, offering guidance and teaching essential Japanese vocabulary that enhances interaction with the natural world.

MIDORI introduces a fresh narrative within the established universe of SHI•RO, featuring an original storyline, innovative puzzle mechanics, and a beautifully rendered forest that reflects the artistry of traditional Japanese lacquerware.

The visual aesthetics of MIDORI draw heavily from Japanese lacquerware. Players interact with a green lacquer box adorned with intricate details depicting rocks, maple trees, and spirits. Tilting the device reveals reflective metal colors that evoke ancient stories.

A Calming Soundscape
The auditory experience of MIDORI captures the essence of the forest: sounds of wooden sticks, cracking twigs, and swirling seeds harmoniously blend with traditional Japanese drums to create an immersive atmosphere.
